Country estate Hotel for Carrilion Value £100,000

MACLENNAN-LSE are working on an elegant Georgian country manor originally established as a Hunting Lodge in the 13th Century, then rebuilt by the Duke of Clarence in the 1740’s for royalty..

Queen Victoria and her family and poets T.S.Eliot and Alfred Lord Tennyson among others have been associated with the estate, which is currently undergoing refurbishment to transform it into ‘the ultimate house in the country’ complete with grand spa. It is expected to re-open summer 2008.

MACLENNAN-LSE were employed by Carrilion the main contractors for the project to provide a waterproofing scheme for the four basements being created under the new buildings and the main house.
MACLENNAN-LSE designed a membrane and drainage system using Newton Membranes and installed the system to the first three basements. The fourth basement is still under construction.

The walls were all lined in front of the membrane using the Gypliner system with insulation in between . All of the services were run behind the lining

The installation was carried out after the shell of the building was erected so their were no issues with safety as their would be working in the excavation. Their was no requirement for external drainage so the full area of the site could be used.

The work was guaranteed by MACLENNAN-LSE  for 10 years and that was underwritten by the GPI which is the only long term waterproofing insurance available.

The Guarantees can be extended for a larger premium if required.

MACLENNAN-LSE  Take the risk out of Waterproofing.....
